Principal

Prof. Abdul-Mumin Selanwiah is an Associate Professor of Computer Science. He annexed his first degree in BSc. Computer Science from the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, Ghana. He proceeded to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana for his Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering. He then moved to the Kwara State University in Nigeria to pursue his PhD programme where he successfully completed with PhD. in Computer Science.

He has conducted and supervised several research works in various areas including Wireless Network Security, Network Intrusion Systems, Cryptography, Data Communication and Computer Networks, Network Protocols, Residue Number Systems and its Applications, Database Applications, Satellite Communications and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Whilst in Kwara State University, he successfully co-supervised a good number of students at the MSc. level. He has successfully supervised and graduated more than twenty (20) Postgraduate candidates. He is currently supervising seven (7) MPhil. students and five (5) PhD candidates. Prof. Abdul-Mumin currently has over thirty (30) publications in peer review journals which are indexed by high raking journals.
