Mr. Shani Osman currently serves as the Vice Principal of Tumu College of Education. Since his initial appointment at the college in September 2000, he has held various key leadership positions, including Head of Department, Quality Assurance Officer, and Academic Affairs and Examination Coordinator. Moreover, he assumed the role of Acting Principal from January 2023 to July 2023.
He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Education, Winneba. Additionally, he possesses a research-focused Master of Arts degree in Governance and Sustainable Development, as well as a Bachelor of Education degree in Social Studies from the University of Cape Coast.
Within the Harmonized Scheme of Service for Staff of Colleges of Education Grade Structure, Mr. Osman holds the prestigious rank of Principal Tutor. His research interests encompass Pedagogy in Social Studies, Educational Assessment, Gender Issues, Education for Sustainable Development, and Global Citizenship Education. He has to his credit a total of 21 publications.
